Why is it that people only in this country USA, ask a question, they will advice you what to do?

The question can be answerable by a simple yes or no - yet people will start telling you what to do and how to do things. But look at their life, you will find irregularities that is unimaginable. Probably, if this fact was known before coming over - coming over is not worth it. Not saying all but most people in US?Why is it that people only in this country USA, ask a question, they will advice you what to do?
Ninja, I have not read one of your questions that ask's for a simple, ';yes'; or ';no'; answer.

People answering questions here are sharing a part of themselves, trying to help it they can. If gives others perspective in their own lives. Why is it that people only in this country USA, ask a question, they will advice you what to do?
~ I think its human nature, we all want to give advice,,,most of us think ';our'; way is the right way, we want to share our experiences with others and hope that others will learn from our experiences.....I think its all about sharing ,,,,
That's utterly ridiculous. Apparently, you have not met a vehement frenchman or italian. Oh, perhaps you've forgotten what America is... a melting pot of multiculturalism. Get real.

What's this got to do with real estate, anyway?
People in the US are generally looking for more information than a simple yes or no. So when you ask a question, they will give the yes or no and then explain why. It's part of helping you to understand the answer they are providing. Just trying to be helpful. It's our nature. :-)
My dear girl, shhhhhhh.

Do you think I should use electrical advice from a 16-year-old girl on Yahoo Answers?

Most of her other answers are about dating but she did write a good 3 paragraphs and really seemed to know what she was talking about.Do you think I should use electrical advice from a 16-year-old girl on Yahoo Answers?
Sounds like a 35 year old Journeyman Electrician, probably wasn't a 16-year-old girl.Do you think I should use electrical advice from a 16-year-old girl on Yahoo Answers?
It never hurts to seek a second opinion, but don't discount her advice because of her age or gender. I knew more about house wiring, farm wiring and electric appliance repair when I was 16 than most men learn in a lifetime.
Have a read of her answer! If it seems genuinely helpful (even if it's not all that thorough), certainly take it into account.

The more helpful it is, the more I'd recommend taking it.
Tried to get to the q and a on your profile but its private.

Advice for my first Voice Lesson - First Song You Sang to show the teacher your voice?

I'm not sure what to sing! It's today and I know you can't tell me unless you know if I'm soprano, alto or w/e but I don't know either!? Should I just tell her I have no clue?Advice for my first Voice Lesson - First Song You Sang to show the teacher your voice?
Just sing a song that is comfortable for you. Not to high, or too low. And if you mess up, ask if you can start over! Don't be nervous...I remember when I was in 6th grade and I had my first voice check. But all you have to do is remember to breathe and think about what you're singing!

Good luck!Advice for my first Voice Lesson - First Song You Sang to show the teacher your voice?
The classic song to sing is the Star Spangled Banner. Whether you are an alto or soprano, this song shows off both ranges pretty well, and an experienced teacher will usually be able to tell which one you are strong in.

Good Luck!

What is the most stupid piece of advice anyone has ever given you?

When I was 37 and dateless. I had a woman tell me I should consider dating married men. She told me ';You should take your happiness where you can get it!'; VERY STUPID and I told her so. I did. Three years later. We're still together and very happy :)

Root for the Red Sox. This was during the 1986 World Series. As a Yankee Fan, I was torn, but I followed the advice, because I just can't bring myself to root for the Mets.

If you don't know how it turned out, read the source below. That night, I felt what Red Sox fans felt for 86 years.

being told that when i gave birth to my son my mum could see him, NO she can't she's dead. why do people say that? to make themselves feel more comfortable in a bad situation.
It wasn't advice, but it's when people say ';at least you have your health';, as if that makes all the other problems just fade away.............

I never take advices because i hate them ! the person who gave you advise about something is the only person who never did it for himself.

So if i don't know the person who is giving me advise i never take it.I just learn that he made a mistake that must not be made by me. if i know that person and admire him i take this advise as , ok! i learned new experience in life.I don't have to experience it by making my own mistakes but i can learn by the experience of others!

Advice you would like to see in a book about animal rescue?

I am a professional photography specializing in rescued cats and dogs. I am putting together a book of photos, but I am also trying to put together some content in it. Do you have any suggestions what you would like to see in it aside from stories of rescued animals in a book like that? its for charityAdvice you would like to see in a book about animal rescue?
鈥?addresses/websites of national organizations for animal rescues or organizations that help with spaying/neutering

鈥?interview with shelter folks on what their life entails or what brought them to this field in the first place

鈥?drawings from children on what their new pet has done for their family. (a 9-yr old daughter of one of my staff wrote a ';book'; for a school project from the point of view of a dog on the streets finding a new forever home, complete with drawings. it was the cutest damn thing.)

鈥?ways people can contribute to the animal cause: donations of money or supplies (specify some of the ones most shelters need like bleach, paper towels, litter, toys), giving time as a volunteer or board member, or even just spreading the word about spaying/neutering, etc.

I'm going on a long road trip and it seems whenever I drive I have to pee frequently! Yes I try to stop at gas stations or fast food when available but sometimes there just isn't one when I need to go.

    1. Do you ever take toilet paper or kleenex in the car or something else?

    2. Do you pee next to the car or run down into the ditch?

If the US had proper medical coverage do you think people would be getting medical advice from Yahoo Answers ?

People from Canada or Britain wouldn't be flocking to America for MRIs or whatnot if their wasn't so many open spaces from people being denied coverage or for-profit companies refusing to pay. At least I know that if I were to get sick, my family wouldn't have to mortgage their house to pay the medical bills.

To answer your question. People come to YA looking for comfort; if they're looking for a diagnosis, then they are serious fools, I have made many answers that said it is NEVER a good idea to self-diagnose.

At any rate, although I might sound like a socialist, or God forbid, a communist, there is no place for profit in something as necessary as medical care. Sewers and water are considered necessities in this society, why not health care?If the US had proper medical coverage do you think people would be getting medical advice from Yahoo Answers ?
I guess what is 'proper' medical coverage would need to be defined.

If proper medical coverage allowed people to go see a doctor when they were curious why their shampoo made their head itch. Or proper coverage payed for them to to go see the doctor to find out how to get rid of a love bite ( yes ive seen both of these in the he yahoo healthcare forum )

Then no they wouldnt be on Y/A asking for medical advice, they would be in the y/a personal finance or taxes forums trying to find out why their taxes are so high and why they are so broke. If the US had proper medical coverage do you think people would be getting medical advice from Yahoo Answers ?
If Canadian and French and British medical care was really good, do you think their rich people would still flock to America for their medical needs?

You do realize with socialized medicine, some paper pusher will decide if you're worth the treatment, right? If you're over a certain age and need an expensive treatment, you will be denied for the greater good of the collective. Get ready for the DMV type lines.

85% of America has health insurance coverage and access to the best medical care in the world. 15% (40 million) do not have insurance but still get emergency care if needed.

For this 15%, we're supposed to drag down the quality of care for the other 85%, AND make them pay for the other 15%.

    Socialism at work.
I don't think Yahoo Answers is the proper place to ask for medical advice. There are numerous websites available for medical Informationn. I do not know if there is a link between a lack of medical coverage and questions of this nature being asked on Yahoo. Sometimes people just like additional opinions, or to hear from people with the same condition they have.
The US has fantastic medical coverage, and everyone can see a doctor if they choose - many choose not to because %26lt;gasp%26gt; practitioners (like anyone else doing a JOB) expect to be paid for their services. (Damn greedy bastards wanting to get paid for their work in a field that requires years and years of education!)

There are health clinics, walk in services, Medicaid, indigent funds, and the list goes on....People just wants everything for free! Nothing in life is free!

I consider my health insurance premiums to be a top priority bill in my home - right up there with mortgage and food -- it comes before my cars, my recreation, and anything else.

By the way - I'm a nurse, and even I will look up stuff online before toddling off to my doctor over it if I have questions. Seems really wasteful to go to a doctor every time I have a little crick in my neck or sniffle.
Yes they would because it would take much longer than it does now to get in to see a doctor.
By proper... do you mean if we could go to the doctor every time we get a boo boo and somebody else will pay for it?
Anyone who thinks that socialized medicine is a good option, has never experienced it.

People who live in Britain and Canada frequently pay to be treated by cutting edge US doctors because their government does not cover all procedures and often there is an extremely long waiting time for non-emergency procedures.

People likely ask for medical advice on the internet because they do not like visiting doctors or are too shy to ask a doctor a particular question, in person.

My guess is that proper care in your mind equates to free care or care paid for by other people's money.

BTW: there are free services available to the poor and emergency rooms treat anyone who comes in for an emergency procedure.

If the emergency room sends a bill and the person is low income or has no income, typically medicaid/medicare will pay the bill, if the patient can prove their financial status.

Medicaid or Medicare will not pay it, however, if you do have an income but prefer to spend your money on vacations or cosmetic surgery, or other non essential expenditures.
    ';You do realize with socialized medicine, some paper pusher will decide if you're worth the treatment, right? If you're over a certain age and need an expensive treatment, you will be denied for the greater good of the collective.';

Completely and utterly untrue. You get triaged, which means your needs get weight against the needs of others. People in socialized medicine settings DO NOT wait if they are having a heart attack....do NOT wait for cancer treatment or other critical care.

But if your jaw is messed up from a car wreck I have to wait for my nose job because....and wait for it....you need the plastic surgeon right now more than I do.

And, you know what? Even if what you just wrote was true (even though it ISN'T) We're already there....and you're not denied care because of some abstract social ';good'; your value as a human being and whether you live or die is based solely on your coverage....solely on your ability to pay.

Some guy at an HMO already decides if they're going to cover your cancer treatment or transplant ot not.

If you think THAT'S better???? Wow.

    Hi,

I would have to consider it carefully, but if you would like to send me the question I will read it very carefully and give you an honest answer.Hope to help.Do you think I should use electrical advice from a 16-year-old girl on Yahoo Answers?
If you own a home and want to learn the proper techniques for troubleshooting electrical problems I would suggest you buy a comprehensive book from Lowe's or Home Depot. It will more than pay for itself. I read many responses that sound convincing but are totally wrong for the question that was asked. I'm not saying this is the case with the 16 year old, but if you really want to be sure, do the research yourself.
If her advice was to get professional help then follow her advice.Other than that, I do not ask electrical questions on this site. For that matter, I usually advise everyone to get qualified professional electricians for all of the work, except resetting something.
first off, i agree with JakFlak...... my personal quote that i use religiously is...... ';Advice is worth what you pay for it';....

not to be glib, as we are all here looking for help with something that we are doing to our homes...... as for me? i answer questions while i am looking for suggestions and answers pertaining to my 1927 home...... MAN did they do things different back then....... and i have gotten good advice, advice from people obviously trying to make ';points'; and then..... REALLY BAD ADVICE that sounded right at first.....

HANG WITH ME! I AM ENDING SOON! take your question and the answer you got that sounds logical to your local Lowes, Home Depot or True Value and ask them if it makes sense....... I use all 3 for ';consultants'; and in general, they ALL LOVE a good challenge, but wont steer you wrong or into a dangerous situation...... they might not suggest it to you, but they will sure as heck stop you from doing something dangerous! and they are FREE!

Any question that contains the words ';Should I';, ';electrical advice'; and ';Yahoo!'; gets a firm answer of no.
Maybe she and her dad or mom share an account?

Do you think I should use electrical advice from a 16-year-old girl on Yahoo Answers?

Most of her other answers are about dating but she did write a good 3 paragraphs and really seemed to know what she was talking about.Do you think I should use electrical advice from a 16-year-old girl on Yahoo Answers?
Maybe. I'd have to see the answer before I committed to it. Do you think I should use electrical advice from a 16-year-old girl on Yahoo Answers?
Consider that it was not her or what matched her profile that answered. Maybe a Father or older brother used her sign on. Of couse she could have lied on her profile or just cut and pasted the answer. The best is continue to research. Electric will kill you or start a fire if you do not get it right and treat it with respect.
What do age or sex have to do with knowledge obtained?? If it was good advice use it, if it was bad advice loose it. Maybe her dad is an electrician and wants her to be one too.
Consider the consequences. If you are unaware of the danger, then get informed by a professional.
well maybe, i would if it made sence but whos too say she making it up theres really no way to know maybe ask the question again and see what opther peple say?

I wired my first house at 14. Use your judgment.

  • Can you please give me some mommy advice?

I have a very good friend who is pregnant and I've been thinking about something to get her for her baby shower that is personal and unique. I decided that I wanted to make her a little journal filled with advice and suggestions from current mothers. (She has never really been around babies so this is going to be a whole new world to her).

    Please answer:

What was the most unexpected thing you found about having children/becoming a mother?

What is the best advice that you received and/or would give a new mother?

Also, can you please list how old your kids currently are (I don't care if they're babies or full-grown, hopefully this is something that she'll be able to refer to in the future as well). Can you please give me some mommy advice?
I did not become a mom till i was 30 and I was so greatful to have my family there for me.........nothing can ever prepare u for taking care of a newborn. my son was a good baby(now 2 is not so good. But just offer her advice and a hand when she needs it.................it will come to her.Can you please give me some mommy advice?
My son is now 21. I always told him not to drink or do drugs. WE talked about it all the time. He doesn't drink or do drugs, unlike so many of his freinds and school mates. I am so proud of him.

I also never ever hit him. I put him in time out or grounded him when he got older. THere is never any reason to hit a kid.

I think becuase of these two things my son turned out really well even though I raised him all by myself.
Keep a journal or scrapbook with pictures and write down the cute little things they say and do through out the years. You will love to look back at that when they are older.
Trust your instincts! Follow your own mother's intuition over other's advice, and believe me there will be a TON of unsolicited advice! Know that the first 6 weeks (at least) will be REALLY hard but you CAN and WILL get through it!!!

Also refer to www.askdrsears.com A LOT, that sight has helped me immensely! Also a GREAT book is 'Adventures in Gentle Discipline' by Hilary Flower. Also ANY book by Dr.Sears is a lifesaver.
    Most unexpected:

To be able to be completely smitten with this little piece of you, to become aware that you no longer breathe for yourself but for your children. I didn't know how much I could love until my babies came. Or how much I wanted to be a better person for them and them alone.

    Best advice:

Giving birth: Expect the worst, it'll be better than that.

Raising: Don't neglect the little things, first smile, first giggle, spending time nursing/feeding baby. When they are newly upon this earth it goes so quickly, next thing you know they are walking and or running from you. (lol) Enjoy being needed for this little person's survival, don't grudgingly get up in the middle of the night to feed them (though all of us have wished for 15 more minutes sleep). Just remember, it's quality time that you'll never get back.

Best of luck to your friend, and I think this is a wonderfully thoughful gift to give her. ^.^
The most unexpected thing I found about becoming a mother was that even when you buy the most expensive highest quality diapers, you are going to have a ';blow-out'; and baby will be covered in poo up to his/her neck and maybe even in his/her hair. This will happen more than once and probably while your baby has on his/her cutest most expensive outfit from Grandma.

The best advice I received was to have a sense of humor about these things. You're going to be tired. You may not get to shower every day. You may have a sink full of dirty dishes. It's all part of the experience and one day, you'll have stories to tell your kids.

My daughter is 3 years old and my second daughter is due 10/18
they are a lot of work, but are a wonderful joy. They don't sleep through the night, and you have to go by there schedule. There is know schedule for mommy and daddy. And if you are breastfeeding be prepared, to have to be ready for duty, at all times. That is one thing daddy can't do for you unless you pump.

Just to take each day, as a new day. Enjoy, there little spills, spit up, diapers, feeding and sleeping, they will grow up way to fast. Always show affection towards them. From the first day. They can sense if you are not be caring , and loving.

Well, I don't have kids, I just know cause I have a nephew, and I babysit, and work with kids.
The most unexpected thing that I have found about having a child is that I NEVER, EVER thought that I could love someone so very much. I have been so overcome by the amount of love and affection that I have for my child.

The best advise that I got was that no matter how embarrassing the situation may be, just remember everyone that is staring at you in that resteraunt or store, either did that same thing as child or has a child that did that as well! It helps to remember that when your 4 year old wants to know why that man looks so crazy..and she wonders that at the very top of her lungs!

    6 years old
I just want to say that from the perspective of someone that is having their first child, that is a very useful and thoughtful gift. I'd love it if one of my friends took the time and gave me a gift like that. I am sure she will cherish it. :)
i have a 20 year old ,a 14 year old and a 2 year old,and the best advise i have ever got-ton is that no matter how stressed you are you need to pretend that you are not so that the baby does not pick up on your stress! it makes a stressful situation so less stressful!
My son is 11 yrs old now. The best advice I got when he was a baby was to sleep when he did. I soon found out that if I didn't I may not get any sleep! lol....Another thing, if baby starts to cry alot I found that holding him close to me %26amp; bouncing with him helped as I sat on the side of the bed. (standing %26amp; bouncing on not much sleep is a little exhausting) lol... My son was a little colicy, hopefully your friends baby won't be. Oh %26amp; I bought lots of sack gowns (thats what we call them around here) instead of sleepers. It's much easier to change babys diaper when they are wearing these, especially if baby is cranky %26amp; or you are going on very little sleep. And if someone offers to help watch the baby....let them help. You don't have to be superwoman. Newborns are alot of work. The important thing is to not get stressed out, the baby can sense what mommy is feeling %26amp; they'll react to that so try to be as relaxed as possible. Subscribe her to a parenting magazine. I had one %26amp; there is alot of good advice in them. And take pictures!!! They grow %26amp; change so very fast in their 1st yr especially. She will be so glad to have those pics to look back on. I wish your friend the best of luck with her new bundle of joy! Best wishes %26amp; God bless! : )
I have always loved children and wanted several of my own, but what really took me by surprise when I had my son three years ago was the immediate and overpowering sense of love, security and comfort I got the second I laid eyes on him. Nothing in the world compares to the love and comfort I still get every time I look into my now preschool-aged son's eyes, it melts my heart every time.

I would just recommend that a new mom relax and savor every moment. Don't fuss over whether or not you remembered to pack 4 diapers or only 3, or if the baby's pacifier falls on the floor, it will be OK!

I have a 3 1/2 year old son and am 34 weeks pregnant with a little girl.
I have 3 daughters, ages 16, 12 %26amp; 5. I can only say 1 thing to offer. Just Remember they WILL ALWAYS REPEAT the 1 thing that you have said, that you don't want them to repeat, especially at the most embarrassing time. :)
Let housework go if you dont have help every day.Time flies by so fast and you need to spend as much precious time as you can with your baby.My kids are 8,2,and 4 mo old.
When baby sleeps, you sleep or you will always be exhausted.
    Back 2 your mother %26amp; family !!!!
the most unexpected thing i found about having children is how much happiness babies bring to your life. one little smile and it brightens up your whole day. i never knew children could bring so much joy to my life. and the best advice i could give is always follow your instinct when it comes to your baby. sometimes its hard to trust yourself being a new parent, you will always worry that you are doing something wrong, but always listen to your gut. 9 times out of 10 it is right. there is nothing smarter than a mothers instinct. i have an 11 month old little girl.
keep kids away from household plants some are toxic and some paralyze. Kids will eat them and they will put anything in their mouth

    5 kids from 15 to 26
Our daughter is 2. The most unexpected thing I found as a mother was the amount of love my heart could hold. I never knew I could love so much.

The best advice I got was to trust my instincts. Everyone has advice on babies, but a mother knows her own child best.
The most unexpected thing I found was love. Don't get me wrong, I planned my pregnancy and loved my baby before he was born...but it's much more than you imagine when they give you your new baby for the first time. You have so much love I can't describe it to you.

The best advice I can give is this: love, trust, patience, and relax. You may not do things the way others want you to do them, and that's OK. You will do things your way and as long as you are doing it out of love and concern for your baby that's what matters.

My son is almost 1. You will hear this so many times, and eventually you'll blow it off, but it is so true...they grow up so fast. Keep your camera ready!

    Good luck and congratulations!!

    Jacob's Mommy
    not me, sorry.
that your kids might not have a daddy
the most unexpected thing i have learned about being a mom is how the months fly by so catch every moment with cameras

the best advice would have to be no mom is perfect and hope and pray that your child can forgive you for the mistakes you make along the way. and i would tell a new mom to not be afraid to ask for help because having a baby is very demanding

i am a first time mom to my 5 month old son
The most unexpected thing was how easy and natural the mother role came to me.

The best advice I can give is that you need to do what you feel is right for your child. Don't let anyone else tell you how to raise your children.

Mother of Kylee, 5 month old beautiful girl
my child is 7 now . i can give some good advise though. no matter how mad you are when your child gets into trouble just be paiteint and talk to your child . never spank your child. spanking just causes them to rebell more . spanking also teaches them that hitting is ok. also take time to listen to children. dont jump the gun.
    1. You never have free time for yourself anymore! While I realized going into my first pregnancy that my baby would (and should!) take up the majority of my time, I didn't realize just exactly how much time that would actually be...about 99% of it!

    2. SLEEP WHEN THE BABY SLEEPS!!! (Seriously...unless your house is actually *dirty*, the housework can wait. Scattered toys, unfolded laundry and the like really can wait...)

    3. I have a son who just turned 28 months, and another son who just turned 1 year.
    Motherhood is not for sissies!
How I would feel the 1st time they smiled at me. How fast they would grow up. When you feel down don't hesitate to call someone. My kids are 3, 5, and 9.
The most unexpected thing I learned was that I really knew nothing, and that everything I used to think mattered in the world no longer did as much. Even w/#2 I realized again that I still know nothing and each day I learn from both of my children.

The best thing about kids is you get to be a kid again. The fun of bubbles, or telling silly jokes so many little things that you don't do when you grow up. I think they are even more fun as you see your childs face light up.

I have two boys one just turned 6 and the other is 15 months old.
That's cute. I wanted to do this for my friends as well, so I have lots of em stored up. LOL

    I have a 6 and 8 year old.

Two things I remember........when you get new baby clothes, wash them all first. All at the same time. This way you know what size they REALLY are after they shrink so you can get the use out of them when they fit. So many times I'd wait til they fit the baby, they'd wear it once, and then I'd wash it and it was no longer wearable cause it shrunk.

Second.....when you have an infant......sleep when the baby sleeps. Take those day time naps, even if the chores are piling up. Say YES to outside help if it's offered. No one will give you a medal for being tired and having a clean house and doing all of it on your own.

And the most unexpected thing I found......how much you can love the stranger they put in your lap for the first time.......suddenly you don't love your dogs and cats as much, you become like a mother wolf protecting her young. A nd you don't have to try.....it just happens overnight.
I have two children- 3 and 5 yrs. The most unexpected thing is how you have to plan everything. Even a trip to the store for milk can be hard. But, it is so worth it. My five year old said to me today, ';Mommy guess what.'; I thought she had gotten into trouble, but she said';I love you.'; They just melt your heart.

The best advice I have is a trick for when babies cry and won't stop. Place them face down across your legs. Gently raise your legs up and down and pat their butts at the same time. It put my kids to sleep every time.

Tell your friend good luck and enjoy every minute of it.

How do you know if i girl likes you what are some clues (Need your advice ladies)?

    * If she tries to make you laugh.

    * If she tries to copy you.

    * If she tries to keep you in view for as long as possible or tends to look around and stop when she finds you.

    * If she subtly looks at you but makes it look like she is looking at the guy next to her.

    * If she's immature she will act different around you, quiet and maybe even try to avoid you. Or, she'll act different around you than when she's just with her friends.

    * If she constantly calls you and uses an excuse -such as What was the homework?

    * If she goes out of his way to talk to you (e.g. if she goes to the other side of your school to talk to you because he knows you have a class there).

    * If you see her staring at something by turning her head 90 degrees and when you look at her she smiles and turns away, when this happens, check her pupils, she might have actually been staring at you.

    * If she invites you to a party.

    * If you flirt with a friend of hers when he can see, and she looks jealous or automatically flirts back, (but don't flirt with them just to find out if she likes you).

    * If she talks to you and wants to know how you're doing.

    * If she is nicer or tries to talk to your friends.

    * If she asks about you to your friends when you're not around.\

    * If you notice when she gets out of class and starts to walk a little slower than usual, then she's trying to give you the opportunity to talk to her!

    * If she always talks to you there's a great chance that she likes you.

    * If she feels so awful letting you down that she lies.

    * If she would do anything to spend more time talking to you (e.g. if she talks/texts/exchange IM's to you until midnight).

    * If you realize that she ignores you when you're looking but when you look out of the corner of your eye, she turns back around to look back at you.

    * If she's talking to her friends and nodding like she's paying attention but you realize she's not, she's actually been staring at you the whole time!

    * If she walks down the hallway (at school) and she ';accidentally'; bumps/touches you, if she moves your chair or pulls your hair etc.

    * If she ignores you almost completely. For example, when you call her name she does nothing, but when your friend does, she pays attention. This is because she might be embarrassed or not sure how to approach you. Be careful, though, she might ignore because he just flat-out doesn't like you!How do you know if i girl likes you what are some clues (Need your advice ladies)?
dependin on the girl...like if you know the girl is shy ...but she is like...talkin to you....acting idkk...trying to be more out going ...while been with you....yeah she likes you...

Can you give me advice about these problems with menopause?

I am 45 years old and I'm already having severe hot flashes, I haven't had a period in 6 months (I've had a test by the doctor and I'm not pregnant), and there is emotional anxiety, etc. The doctor said I was in pre menopause, but 6 months with no period sounds like full blown menopause, doesn't it?

Also, what treatments has anyone tried? Can you give me advice about these problems with menopause?
Hot flashes and night sweats can begin 4 -5 years before you period completely ends.

Consider taking the herb Black Cohosh for the hot flashes. You can later add Damiana and Don Quai. Some companies make a combo pill to take, check with your local Health Food Store.

Most of my friends have hot flashes. I've been drinking non-gmo Soy Milk - at least a glass a week and don't have hot flashes like my friends. Can you give me advice about these problems with menopause?
you need to talk too your DR.

    some people get hormone replacement
    Hi

I suggest using hrt which will protect you against many long term health problems associated with menopause including depression, insomnia, raised cholesterol, reduced libido, incontinence, anxiety, arthritis, osteoporosis and flushes.

The odds of increased risk of breast cancer rise from 43 in 1000 women to 44 in 1000 women.

There is plenty of scare stories about hormone treatment. But I believe the benefits far outweigh the risks.I myself use bio identical hormone therapy which is tailored to my needs by my Endocrinologist.
Hi Bonnie D, you are right it sounds like a full blown menopause but even if it was pre menopause there's lots of Choices that the doctor could have

talk to u about and put u on some kind of medication for it my suggestion will be call ur doctor back ask for medication for ur hot flashes if denied ask them why but first they have to take a blood test and see where your hormones levels are, and base on the results a mild or strong medication will be given, Good luck

    hope this Information will help
Bonnie, that sounds exactly like me! They don;t call it emnopause until it's been 1 year without a period. For me, all the major stuff came after my periods stopped. I'm doing Bio Identical Hormone Replacement and I feel much better, Hang in there!
I think you are going through menopause as you are showing the classic symptoms. Hot flushes and no period. The word ';menopause'; literally means the ';end of monthly cycles'; from the Greek words pausis (cessation) and the word root men (month).

There are heaps of products on the market. So don't feel like you have to put up with it. I have links to some products below. :)
Your doc is right that you are in premenaupause. Once you dont bleed at all in one year you will officially enter it. Regarding your problems i guess at the moment you should try to bear with them but in case you are unable to ask you doc bout it. He/she may give prescribe your hrt or hormone replacement therapy. But usually its given after full menaupause. Right now your body is going through changes in hormonal levels. Anyways consult your doc about it
My doctor did a blood test on me to check my hormone levels to determine if I was pre-menopausal or in menopause. You should ask your doctor to do the same.

There are hormone pills that will help but they come with risks and side effects. Ask your doctor which would be best for you.

(I have the night sweats that are awful so I feel your pain!)
Hi, I started menopause early too, but my doctor said every one is different but it could take a few years . I was very lucky I sailed right through with out any meds of any kind.Good Luck!

I was never a Seal, nor did I ever serve.

I do know of an extremely fit twenty three year old who died during Seal training. (Marine boot is also very challenging, if somewhat less so than Seal training, but both can be very hazardous and extremely unpleasant.) Injuries are not uncommon, even in training.

Seals, much like Marines and certain Army units, can expect to be deployed at a moment's notice, generally to areas that are hell on earth.

As an enlisted man, you'll be expected to follow orders without question; if you've any psychiatric or medical problems, you might not make it. Any sort of a family life can be very challenging; remember too that military life is very strict and ordered (as it has to be, especially in times of war).

But by all accounts, you'll also receive training that will prepare you for literally anything you encounter, in either military or civillian life. You'll certainly have adventures, and you'll be part of a very small, very valuable community.

But if you've the opportunity to finish college first, you might want to look into an ROTC program or OCS schooling - military officers, in general, have it better than the grunts, and the only real difference is a few years of school.
rough. about a 16wk basic training. if is a great thing to go into though, if up for the channgle go fo rit

As you mentioned needing an OP, I assume you're in Qld. You need an OP1. There's pretty much no other way around it. In senior, you also need to have English, Maths B, as well as chemistry or physics. You are required to sit the Undergraduate Medicine %26amp; Health Sciences Admissions Test (UMAT) and really have to do extraordinarily well on it. The Bachelor of Science/ Medicine Surgery at UQ is 6 years, but I'm assuming thats the minimum you'd have to do.

From my graduating class, only one person is on track for a medical degree. He got an OP3, did all the science subjects, but went in via the Defence Force- they pay all your costs, and you've got a job all the way through your degree and afterwards.

Check out the UQ website: http://www.uq.edu.au/study/program.html?鈥?/a>

Of course, you have options outside of UQ; you're certainly not limited to Queensland. I would recommend checking out Australian National University (ANU) however to gain entry to medicine there you must already have an undergraduate degree.

I hope that helps! Can you give me advice in becoming a doctor?
You need to have XII Std Pass. 1th and 12th Std should necessarily contain Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology as combinations. One will have to spend 6.5 years at University for a Professional Graduate Degree in Medicine. 03 years for Post Graduate Degree such as MD, PhD separately.Doctors are usually paid a salary of Rs.5000 to Rs.35000 in India. In USA you are paid in Dollars. It depends on your qualifications somehow.
if this quiz is from India, to become Dr. u need yr 11 %26amp; 12 50% score in physics/chemistry/biology, then u should appear in entrance, and if u score below 3000 rank-list in the entrance, then u need little money (approx. Rs300000) for 4+1 yr course, and if u score above 3000 rank-list, then you need more than Rs30,000 under prevailing intake condition.
Useful information? Be nice to the nurses. Without the nurses, a doctors job would be extremely difficult.

I'm not one, but I know nurses that are treated badly. Just respect and appreciate the nurses.

How can you stay married for life? Do you have any advice on how to stay happily married?

Don't always insist that your way is the right way.

Be considerate of your partner's feelings.

If you are upset about something, talk about it but don't yell, scream or blame.

    Be honest and be fair.

Say ';I Love you'; everyday even if it's not always easy.

Don't feel that you have to always be joined at the hip with your spouse - both of you should have your own interests and friends and be okay to spend time apart without jealousy.

    Don't hold grudges.

Talk about all the big steps before they happen - like big purchases (house, car), big moves (changing jobs or homes, retirement) and big changes (having children) - even though you think you both want the same things, you will find that you have differences and if you work them out before a change, things will go much more smoothly.

The main thing is just the old golden rule - treat your spouse the way that you want to be treated.

Oh - and don't give up at the first sign of trouble. You have to work hard to have something worthwhile and that includes a long, happy marriage. How can you stay married for life? Do you have any advice on how to stay happily married?
coming from someone who has never been married i think to stay married for life, you have to remember that you are not always going to be ';happily Married';. Marriage is work, and that is why there are so many divorces these days, because no one is willing to work for the person they fell in love with. so just remember that when you do get married, you will have amazing times, and you will also have times where you really have to work to keep your marriage together. How can you stay married for life? Do you have any advice on how to stay happily married?
Staying happily married is a choice. For a marriage to last for life the couple must love each other, communicate and be considerate of each other. Also couples should seek counseling regardless of if they need it or not. Everyone brings baggage to their relationship rather it's small or big baggage. Counseling will help them deal with their partners mood swings. Keeping a healthy and happy marriage together takes hard work.
The fist thing is to choose wisely before you get married. You have to have the same basic value system, and you should have similar interests. With that said, marriage is about caring enough about the other person that you would literally be willing to die for that person. You can never let selfishness rule. If you really evaluate why people don't stay married, whether it's money, infidelity, or a host of other problems, most of them boil down to selfishness. You need to place your spouse's needs ahead of your own. That's not saying to don't do things for yourself, because you do need to take care of yourself and do things for yourself. Just don't do it at the expense of your spouse.

The other bit of advice, never go to sleep until a conflict is resolved. In 25+ years of marriage, my wife and I have never gone 'till the next morning without working things out. There have been some pretty late nights, but in the end we have always come to terms.
The best idea for marriage is just keep doing it... Don't let the bad things break you up. The problem with following this idea, is that someone (who you may be married to) might have other ideas. You may be all gung ho about not fighting about something, but they may want to fight about something...You may be gung ho about moving and they may not be gung ho about moving. It's hard to keep on mind for two different people unless one or the other does a lot of compromise.
My personal response is through healing yourself, so before even entering a relationship you are as wholly yourself as possible (this also implies maturity in age).

Through years of various forms of counseling and self-help books, one of the best resources I've found that contains simplified, practical, effective answers to your complex question are the writings by author Laura Schlessinger. The titles of her books are cheeky, but if you can get beyond them, they contain the jewels for a well-lived marriage.
Tera had a good point that I'd like to elaborate on. She said not to sweat the small stuff, and to ask yourself how important something really is. I'd like to add the thought process I use with this is ';How much is this REALLY going to matter a week from now, a month from now, a year from now, and 5 years from now?'; If the answer is ';not much'; to any of those options, then I try to let it go! It really helps things out.

Also, be sure to respect one another's feelings, and really LISTEN to one another.

Be affectionate, considerate, loving, and tender.

Go on dates with your spouse still on a regular basis.

Read the ';fight fair'; guidelines link I've posted - it works wonders if you follow it!http://dating.personals.yahoo.com/single鈥?/a>
One thing my grandma told my mom and my mom told me was to not sweat the small stuff. Pick your battles. The little things like not replacing the empty toilet paper roll used to drive me nuts. Until my mom gave me the talk about not sweating the small stuff. Before you fight about something ask yourself is it really that major? Is it worth it? Oh and don't go to bed angry. Work it out, listen and communicate with your partner.
Do things together that make you laugh.

    Hold hands.

Kiss each other several times a day.

    Always say I love you.

Find common interest and do them together.

    Participate in his interests.

Make sure he participates in your interests.

Never hold a grudge longer than a few days at most.

    Be understanding.

Never let the sexual spark die.

    Be adventurous together.

only been married 8 years so not sure if I'm qualified to answer but I'll tell you what I learned:

Focus on what you can do to make things better, not what your spouse does that bothers you.

Talk open and honestly about everything. Even things you think your spouse will get upset about.

Watch how you say things to your spouse (i tend to be sarcastic).

    Keep the sex interesting.

Find time to spend alone with each other.

    Touch,hug and kiss often.

And remember...marriage is hard work. Its not always easy.

Grow together as a couple or you will drift apart.

Change is inetible you have to change as a couple.

Both for the other not for yourself.

Remember you can't control your spose but it won't work unless both of you want it tobe
Try not to yell when you get mad. Don't get physical...keep a regular sexual pattern...try to keep your vacations planned together. Try to be consistent with each other and in front of the kids. Take Care
Read your bible and live the way Jesus Christ created us to be towards our husband/wife. It may not be easy but God will give you life if you live it according to him.
Honesty is not always the best policy.
Hope for a short life. Other than that there is no hope.
SEX, don't stop having it, and make SURE it's fun for both!

It worked great. I have no debts, am retired, and all my savings are now in fixed annuities (unaffected by the market). My living expense is about $1k a month and that includes property tax, insurance, utilities, food, and some traveling. My income from various sources is several times that and I don't have to work. Spoiling grand kids is great! What is the best advice you were ever given? Did you follow it?
Both my parents and teachers advised me against going into anything BUT Art, since I'd been in art since I was tiny and very virtuous at it. It all happened - this advice given to me, AND STRONGLY - when during the summer between my last High School year and my Freshman year in art-school, I wanted to work eternally for the phone company. Don't ask me why, I don't remember. But working for the phone company became an obsession my parents and teachers broke me out of!

Now that I look back I can understand why they needed to set my head (BACK) on the right track!

How did it work for me?

    FABULOUSLY!!!
It was from a book called ';I Am That.'; By Sri Nasargedatta Maharaj. Yes, I have followed it but I had practiced it for years before it finally sank. :)

    He said to stop looking for God outside of your own heart. If it is a Guru you seek, seek the Guru that lives within your own heart, and not one which is outside of yourself. In other words, the God within....';seek that.';

    Also, ';you can't change the circumstances that surround you, but you CAN change your attitude about it.';

This has made all the difference in my own life all the way around. I dropped everything I had ever heard growing up and began from scratch with reference to God. That is when I began to have success. I can only speak for myself. Also, ';Love your enemy,'; was another great gift from Jesus. :)

There are several pieces of advice actually. ';Be the change you wish to see in the world.'; Gandhi...
I've been given lots of great advice from some very dear people.

    But my favorite so far is, ';There is no right or wrong choice you can make, Larissa. So long as you learn from your mistakes.';

    That and, ';Dude, if he drives a lambo, he's got a little d*ck. Don't fall for it.';

this is too hard... too much advice given troughout my whole life, so much that i dont even remember... but i hav, was very impressed with the one mentioned i the answer right above mine... ';be the change u want to see in the world'; thats just great... am gonna try and do that and ill let u know how it works out! :D:D
First thing that came to mind is the advice given by a good friend from here in R%26amp;S, in the form of a question:

What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Haven't completely followed it yet . . . kinda scared to (lol), but we'll see what happens.
    ';Never drink from the can you used as an ash tray.';

I try to follow it. There's nothing like a moutful of ash to keep you sniffing soda cans before you take a swig.

It works on metaphorical levels as well, so it makes me feel smart.
If given the choice between being a spectator or a participant, choose spectator every time.

It has kept me out of a lot of trouble over the years...
    ';Wear a condom';

They however failed to specify that only extra-safe trusted brand condoms comply with this advice

Also, do not ever sleep with a polish woman.
';If wisdom's ways you wisely seek,

    Five things observe with care:

    To whom you speak,

    Of whom you speak,

    And how, and when, and where.';

Its working out pretty good so far.
I would assume that the advice that had gotten the best results happens to be the ';best'; advice. I was told to live life, and love. I still have troubles doing this.
    ';Don't be moody.';

That's when I discovered that I'm just as contrary as my late mother -- she also tended to reject the best advice out of hand, simply because it annoyed her.
    the seven p's...

proper, prior, planning, prevents, piss, poor, performance!

    Works for everything!
If it looks like a duck, and sounds like a duck...it must be a duck.
Leave no room for anyone to talk ; ) And I try to follow it as best I can and you know what? No one can say anything bad about me, because I take care of my business! ha
    ';Never underestimate the importance of a good pair of gloves and hat.';
Theistic religion is nonsense, don't believe it. Yes.
To never give advice unless it has been asked for.

    Whadda think?

    Best regards.
Best advice ever, don't get a credit card and no I didn't listen.
Watch out for that trip wire.
    Don't pick that. Nah.
if you pick at it, it won't heal.

surprisingly this applies to many things!
    ';Be who you are, not what others want you to be.';

God wanted me to be a subservient housewife.

    No thank you.
it was to choose Life..and yes so far Im following ever time I breathe in and exhale and its going well thanks..

What is the best advice you would give to a Potty Training Parent?

Please give details about relevent experience with method, etc. What is the best advice you would give to a Potty Training Parent?
As a mother and the head teacher of a toddler class at a large daycare, I'd like to think that I have some experience with this. First of all, never try to force the child to use the ';potty';. As most parents know, trying to make your child do something only makes them NOT want to do it even more. Watch for signs that they are ready....telling you when they need a daiper change, showing interest in a ';potty';, etc. Buy a potty chair so that it's not as difficult, or scary(But Mom, I'll fall in and it will eat me!) for a toddler. Try to let them spend time with other children their age that are already potty trained and make small comments about how they use the ';big boy/girl'; potty. Praise them for trying to use the potty and reward them when they actually do use the potty. You don't have to give them presents or candy. You can give them some extra ';mommy time';, read them their favorite book, or play that game with them that they've been bugging you about. Basically, make a big deal about it when they actually go peepee in the potty. Show them the neat underwear they could wear when they use the potty. (this one really worked on my son when he found that he could wear batman underwear instead ';baby daiper';). Other then that, just be patient. Sometimes it takes awhile for them to be comfortable with it. I have a 4 year old in my daycare class that still is completely content with wearing daipers. Good luck and happy training! What is the best advice you would give to a Potty Training Parent?
I have 2 children. A girl and a boy. My daughter learned #1 first. My son #2 first. Also different ages. I got a potty chair. Put it in the bathroom. Let them pick out big girl-boy underwear. Practiced with a doll first. I get a paper towel and wet it. Put it in my hand. Put it under the doll and sqeeze. Then Yeah look dolly went pee pee in the potty. Give dolly a sticker. The children then wanted thier own stickers. Put your childs name on a piece of paper tape it to the wall and you are in business. Everytime they go they get a sticker and lots of kisses.
Be patient and don't push too hard.

Don't try to get your child trained by a certain age. they will do it in their own good time. Introduce your little one to thier little potty and then model the right behavior. Let them see you ';going potty.'; It might seem weird at first, but it's the way they learn.

    Sitting them on the potty when you know they are going to go (you should have a good idea of their schedule)....and put them on it before and after bed and naptimes. The first time they go make a HUGE deal about it. Act like a complete idiot....clap and jump up and down....go get daddy and tell him too. Praise your child...then let it all happen. Never punish your child for accidents, just let them know that ';potty (or poo) goes into the toilet.';

    Good luck!
keep alot of paper towel handy and be patient
Wear rubber gloves and a peg on your nose.
My best answer is don't force it. I have 3 girls and they all trainned at different ages. When they start staying dry all night that would be a good time to buy a training potty. There are also some great books and videos now too.
Be patient and give lots of praise
Patience, Patience and Patience - otherwise you will be patient.
WASH your hands before touching anything of MINE!
watch where you step loads of wipes and try to make it like a fun thing for the child.like sit in front of them and roll a ball to each other.untill there used to sitting on the potty
Be patient. It is true that they will go when they are ready. Trying to rush them or punish them for accidents will only make them more defiant. Hang in there.
What worked for me may not work for you and what may work for you may not work for someone else. I had three boys. I trained them all the same way but they was trained according to their development stages. I would just do like it has been done for decades, sit those toddlers on the pot for about an hour and talk them through it as though they could comprehend. But I would sit them on the pot several times a day. All three stopped wetting and pooping on themselves at different levels. Don't worry, he/she will get tired of mommy nagging them sooner or later. Some mature faster then others. As you and your child adventure into this training for a good period of time, try switch ing up and take him/her to a bigger pot, like the commode for instance, but be there to assist him/her. They will then feel like they are maturing and is showing improvement. Reward them when they do good. I'm not comparing children to animals but look how animals learn to be obedient so quickly and notice how fast they learn when their trainer rewards them!
Let them choose the potty, big boy theme/girl panties.

Place potty in family area %26amp; casually place child on for

however long he wants to sit. It's all about fun %26amp; games

Child may reject chair for awhile, that's ok...Put favorite

dolly or plush animal toy on potty. Wheeee, what a big

    thrill... partytime...

But no scolding when child has accidents.

A hug/kiss/star/sticker works well for any effort...

Also, when the red-letter day arrives, phone Daddy, Grandma,

    Aunt Jill,

and share the exciting news !
Patience is it a boy or a girl? If its a boy put cheerios in the toliet and have him shoot them make a game of it. I have a 4 year old that I potty trained at 2 it took about 2 weeks you must be consistent
Make it a party!!! If they go have a potty dance that you do after make it a big deal they need a fun reason to do it another way,,have those little noise maker things and have a little parade from the bathroom to a fun treat.
First of all I hope you are a very patient person because you will need all that you have. I have tried many different methods I will list them below and let you know my results.

    1. I reccomend getting a potty chair, at first my son hated it so I put it in our family room where all his toys and the tv is he was more willing to use it. every 15 min or so I would make him sit on the potty seat eventualy he went (don't forget to praise your child) also when they go poppy for the first time they may freek out just reasure them that it is ok and that they did a great job.

    2. I did try pull ups unfortunately my son would go to the bathroom in them anyways and he really didn't care that he could feel it on his skin he got a rash, so what I did was buy him underware and also the gerber training paints that have the vinyl on the outside that way when he did wet his pants he felt it didn't like it and didn't ruine my furniture. (don't forget keep making your child go every 15 min or so) Honestly perservierience will help train them faster. If you slack off you will loose everything you have worked so hard for.

    3. When it comes to using the big potty I waited until he asked to use it then I bought a potty seat, and a stool. by that time he was telling me when he had to go and had few accidents.

    4. If you have a boy he will learn to stand up and pee by watching your husband it was so weird one day my son just went in the bathroom and started peeing with daddy and the rest is history (thank God)

I also found the DVD Poty Training With Bear (bear in the big blue house) helpful. And your library may have resorces you can use.

I'm sure you will do great, (and don't forget that you don't see adults walking in diapers so your child will learn to use the potty eventually)

    GOOD LUCK

You might want to check out this free poker ebook. It has a ton of information to help you improve your online poker game. What small bit of advice can you give me that will make me a better poker player?
    PATIENCE
Be patient. I win first, second or third in one-third of all on-line tournies I play in. Be patient. With 10 players, for example, you often have to have great cards to win a hand. It is more unpredictable. Let the poorer players make their mistakes and chase cards. When it gets down to 5 or 6 players it gets easier to win.

If it is just a regular game, not a tournament, you still need to have patience and study the other people. They have trends. If you get more experience, you will know how to appear to have a trend...then break it to throw people off.

By the way, reading books is good as suggested. Do not follow the advice to ';follow your gut.'; Play smart, not with emotion.
    -Always play your best

-dont play online, unless its for real money.

-forget books, experince is a better teacher

-dont play by the ';books'; or ';what you should do'; (all the time).

sometimes play what your gut says.

-you dont need a poker face unless your a professional (even then you really don't need it)

-The only good wired pair is a queen or higher

    -always play aggressive

-play lots of hands in the begining when the blinds are cheap

-Learn to play both POSITIONS and the PLAYERS. If you play like you have rockets every hand then you will be a force to be reconded with. Your cards have little to do with your game play.

-Learn when to give up (a bad bet)

-Lots of people will say fold lots of bad hands - this is your perogitive. **I play almost all my hands.

-Learn to be a good winner as well as a good loser

    GOOD LUCK!
    1) Fold.

    2) Raise.

    repeat.
The best advice I would give you is to learn hand selection. What I mean is that you have to know which hands to play in what situations. Phil Helmuth says that you should only play the top ten hands. AA,kk,qq, ak,aq,jj,1010,kq. Hands like these. Also, if you are in a very early position you want very strong hands, when in a late position you can loosen you standards slightly. If you can master this this will immediatley make you a better player. I see way to many times players that will play just about any hand just because they love the action. There is a nmae for those types of players. ATM, they spit out money regulary. I think the best way to play is to play very tight, only play good hands, but when you do play, play aggressively, get the most money in the pot, especially when you are pretty sure that you have the best hand. IF you think you are beat, you probably are, do not put money in a pot when you are pretty sure you are beat, unless you think you can win by bluffing. Checking is a weak play, unless you check raise. Raising is usually your best play. Vary your raises, don't let someone know that you raise a lot with premium hands, you will not make as much money as possible. Folding is often you best play. You should play about 1 out of how many ever players are at the table. 10 Players at the table, you should play about 1 out of every 10 hands, on average. Protect you stack especially when you are ahead. Don't criticize anyone else's play, if they don't know what they are doing, take advantage of the fact. Have fun!
play within your comfort zone. If your out of it your not going to play your best.
dont listen to that guy infinites for one some other advice will be just study the math and psychology expecially the math and write down a plan that you will use in every single situation memorise it be perfect then forget everything
My advice is not to play for money. Playing poker is fun and a fine pastime, playing poker for money is foolish.
show no emotion...enjoy urself...even if its really serious if u relax a bit i find i play better!

Your problem can be approached using Chinese medicine. You can visit an acupuncturist/Chinese herbalist or you can buy a book on acupressure to massage some specific meridians. The Liver is correlated with Spring, and some of the symptoms you might have in addition to the ones you list could be aggitation/irritabilty, vision trouble, bad taste in your mouth, depression, inability to plan, even asthma. See your doctor to rule out health emergencies, then start researching acupuncture and Chinese medicine.Do you have any advice that would help me cope with the arrival of spring? read the details please?
    See your doctor about allergies.

What's the best advice that you can give to a foreign lawyer trying to find work in the United States?

Laws are different in the united states so your education is not really any use here. What you can do is what my mom did, since she was a lawyer in sweden, she now works at a swedish consulate. Maybe you could find something at your countrys consulate, just make sure you are not becoming an honorary consul, they don't earn any money. What's the best advice that you can give to a foreign lawyer trying to find work in the United States?
My suggestion is that you begin by applying to a branch of an American company in your country. Show them that you understand the law as it applies to their business and can use your knowledge to save them time and money.

Work up to where you are advising them on national issues and then work your way to corporate headquarters. What's the best advice that you can give to a foreign lawyer trying to find work in the United States?
Pass the state bar in the state in which you wish to practice law. Otherwise you can't practice.
Use your brain, go into another field.
If you have a degree from a school that is not accredited by the American Bar Association you can't sit for most state bars (I actually don't think you can sit for any) BUT the easy solution to it is this: go back to an Amercian ABA accredited law school for a ONE YEAR LLM degree in anything - trust me, anything - and then when you graduate from that one year program, you now have a degree from an American ABA school and can sit for the bar exam and practice law in the state where you pass the bar. I am a lawyer and also teach college paralegal classes. I had some awesome students over the years who were lawyers from abroad who I was mortified to learn were delivering pizzas, etc. b/c they could not get jobs here. Most have gone and gotten the 1 yr LLM degree and are now earning more than I am in specialized fields. Good luck.
