Can you give me advice in becoming a doctor?

I want to become a doctor and am wondering what OP score you need, how many years at uni, what subjects need to be done in yr 11 and 12, how much they get paid and any more useful information ThankyouCan you give me advice in becoming a doctor?
As you mentioned needing an OP, I assume you're in Qld. You need an OP1. There's pretty much no other way around it. In senior, you also need to have English, Maths B, as well as chemistry or physics. You are required to sit the Undergraduate Medicine %26amp; Health Sciences Admissions Test (UMAT) and really have to do extraordinarily well on it. The Bachelor of Science/ Medicine Surgery at UQ is 6 years, but I'm assuming thats the minimum you'd have to do.





From my graduating class, only one person is on track for a medical degree. He got an OP3, did all the science subjects, but went in via the Defence Force- they pay all your costs, and you've got a job all the way through your degree and afterwards.

Of course, you have options outside of UQ; you're certainly not limited to Queensland. I would recommend checking out Australian National University (ANU) however to gain entry to medicine there you must already have an undergraduate degree.

You need to have XII Std Pass. 1th and 12th Std should necessarily contain Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology as combinations. One will have to spend 6.5 years at University for a Professional Graduate Degree in Medicine. 03 years for Post Graduate Degree such as MD, PhD separately.Doctors are usually paid a salary of Rs.5000 to Rs.35000 in India. In USA you are paid in Dollars. It depends on your qualifications somehow.
if this quiz is from India, to become Dr. u need yr 11 %26amp; 12 50% score in physics/chemistry/biology, then u should appear in entrance, and if u score below 3000 rank-list in the entrance, then u need little money (approx. Rs300000) for 4+1 yr course, and if u score above 3000 rank-list, then you need more than Rs30,000 under prevailing intake condition.
Useful information? Be nice to the nurses. Without the nurses, a doctors job would be extremely difficult.


I'm not one, but I know nurses that are treated badly. Just respect and appreciate the nurses.
