When sitting face to face at interview stay relaxed, focused and look at the person. Do not look down (shows nervous or lying) do not look at watch (shows you want to leave) listen more then talk and take your time answering question. Don't be afraid to say you don't know the answer but you will look into it.

Also, REMEMBER YOU ARE INTERVIEWING THEM TOO! Its a 2 way street --- be confident and stand tall

This is a tough one. I'd prepare myself to interview them as well. once they are done with their questions, I'd have a list of my own. Good luck. .
I am a Senior HR Specialist and do a lot of interviewing, both on the phone and face to face. Believe me, how you come across on the phone is critical. You need to sound like you are smiling, relaxed (at least after the first few minutes), enthusiastic, and energetic.

I would recommend the following:

- dance around/sing along to your favourite music about 15 minutes before the interview. I know it sounds dumb but it will really hype you up, get your energy going, and you will feel happy and more relaxed during the interview.

- SMILE when you are answering questions on the phone. It will come across in your voice.

- find a quiet place. If you live near a busy street, close the windows. If you share the house with people, close the door and tell them not to bother you. You want minimal distractions.

- You might want to stand up while doing your interview. Sometimes if people are laying back on a comfy sofa and ';too'; relaxed, it comes across in their voice.

I do resume and interview coaching part time (for a fair price). I'd be happy to run through a mock phone interview with you if you'd like to practice ahead of time ... interview_ace@yahoo.ca
