i do have an aprenteship at the local tattoo parlor but i would like to know what other ppl have to say...If your a tattoo artist whats advice would you give some one just starting?
Be humble always and listen to and respect your mentor. You will find that tattoo artists are very careful in the beginning but give them a year and suddenly the immature punks get big heads and suddenly think they are rock stars and start messing up.





Don't become that punk. Know and understand there is a very long learning curve to this industry and patience, respect, and perseverance pays off. Good luck.





Edit notes....on the ';practice'; bit - remember, only ';perfect'; practice makes perfect - don't practice unless you LEARN well or you will engrave poor techniques and habits into your brain that are difficult if not impossible to break from.If your a tattoo artist whats advice would you give some one just starting?
Practice on melons. Honeydew to be precise.





And repeat the first word until you bust. Practice, practice. practice.
