What do you think is the best advice you can give someone whos moving away from home for the first time?

Ive always lived with family but im thinking its time for me to move out on my own. i would really appreciate some advice.What do you think is the best advice you can give someone whos moving away from home for the first time?
Call and visit your family often. You'll need them.What do you think is the best advice you can give someone whos moving away from home for the first time?
%26gt;The very first thing I would do upon moving into a new home, is to go out and buy a couple of birdfeeders, and stock up on black oil sunflower seeds. Hang the feeders outside of windows (kitchen, bathroom, living room) where you get a good view all day long. Birds are SO much fun to watch! and so cheerful to hear them sing! It will really make your home more ';homey.';

%26gt;Second thing I would do is BUY PLANTS. Plants are absolutely necessary to make a house a home! Plus, they give off oxygen 24/7, and this helps make your house environment fresher and healthier.

%26gt;ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS save at least 15% out of EVERY paycheck, put it in a savings account, and do not TOUCH it no matter what. I cannot begin to tell you how important it is to have some sort of 'cushion' in the Real World.

%26gt;Be very, very selective and discriminating about who you let into your home, and NEVER bring home strangers. There are some very bad people in the world, and they don't carry a sign, you know. They look just like you and me.

%26gt; Always keep a tidy home. You don't have to be obsessive about it, but it does matter. Get into the habit of picking up on a daily basis, and it'll be easier not to get overwhelmed.

%26gt;Always shop for bargains, and it's essential to resist the urge to ';impulse buy.'; THIS is very important! When you're on your own, you simply MUST be very budget-conscious.
Everyone gave great advice. One thing...dont get carried away with new found freedom. Living on your own is great but you really have to be responsible. Make sure someone you trust (parent or sibling) has a copy of your key in case you lock yourself out or theres an emergency. This does not give them permission to enter your home whenever they want to though. Also, if you can...get a roommate or a pet. Pets keep ya company, and roommates, if you pick the right one, help keep costs down...cause lets face it...living on your own is MIGHTY expensive. OH AND THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: I dont know what part of the world you live in, but try to get a place that has heat and hot water included!!!!! This can save you between $300-$600 a month during cold months!!!!
its a big world and most of it is really evil

stay home safe !

ha ha ha ha kidding ! sure its evil but only half of it enjoy it its also Beautiful there is tons and tons of lovely people and its amazing simply amazing
follow your heart and remember that only you can make you happy. the rest will be trial and error you'll look in the mirror in the morning and learn more about that energy as you go.
remember all the things your mom has taught you. and don't blow money! if you are paying your own bills you have to budget and spend wisely.
Word to the wise is, be prepared for surprises.
It depends how old you are.

But get a job for sure! And save money!
move and never look back...stay out.
